Right in the heart of England, in the ancient Forest of Arden, Stoneleigh is a picturesque Warwickshire village close to Kenilworth, Leamington and Warwick and less than 4 miles from the centre of Coventry. With its pretty timber-framed and thatched cottages, lovely sandstone almshouses and historic church, Stoneleigh is in many ways a typical English village, yet it is close to the prestigious University of Warwick, the motorway network and Birmingham International Airport as well as the thriving business communities at Stoneleigh Park.
NOVEMBER – FAST NEWS FROM THE PARISH COUNCIL
- Thirty-one members of the public attended the Village Hall last night to hear what the developer’s representative had to say about plans for new housing in the village. There was a strong feeling that it was not a sensible proposition given the traffic problems in and around Stoneleigh.
- A traffic survey has begun, instigated by the PC and carried out by WCC. Once this has been completed we can progress on ways to manage traffic better.
- A petition has been submitted by the PC on the latest HS2 proposals
- A Housing Needs Survey is being delivered to all properties in the Parish of Stoneleigh this weekend. Please complete, as the information you provide will help us to plan for the future.
