We now have a Facebook page. Search for Stoneleigh Village for the latest updates.

Stoneleigh Village Club has a team in place who can assist with shopping, collecting medication, posting mail, or just offering a friendly chat on the phone.
Families or individuals self-isolating or being advised to avoid social contact can get in touch from Monday March 23 on Stoneleigh.villageclub@gmail.com before 10pm for delivery the following day, or phone 02476 414440 between 10am and 11am or 7pm and 8pm.
A great initiative!

Our local farm shop, Farmers Fayre at Stoneleigh Park, is offering a pre-ordered delivery service or a click and collect. See their website ( follow our Business link above) or find them on Facebook.

Local milkman D. Arch and Son is able to deliver milk, potatoes, bread, fruit juices and eggs.

STONELEIGH & ASHOW NEWS – The April edition is online only – see the link to the right of this page.

I regret to tell you that a combination of social isolation/age of some distributors, restrictions on non-essential journeys, and other effects of COVID-19, mean that it has not been possible to distribute paper copies of the April edition of the News. Whilst it might have been possible to arrange deliveries within Stoneleigh itself, over half of the usual recipients would have been excluded so, In the interest of fairness as well as complying with Government policies, the difficult decision has been made to suspend all deliveries. Alternative suggestions have been made e.g. collection boxes, but these in turn would become potential transmitters so it would not be responsible of us to risk infection.
It would be appreciated if those residents who usually read the News online would tell their neighbours why there is no hard copy for them this month (and until restrictions are lifted).
Obviously the loss of this method of communication will cause disappointment but under the circumstances there is no alternative.
Let’s hope that this horrid time will soon end. Take care everyone.

Margaret Wallis, Stoneleigh & Ashow News Co-ordinator
