Stoneleigh History Society
The society was formed in January 2011, with the principal aim of discovering and recording information about the village’s rich history.
New members will be warmly welcomed! we have begun to assemble photographs and documents for displays, and would be interested in receiving any archive material you might be prepared to loan.
One ongoing project is to document the graves in the churchyard. See our website.
Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of the month, at 7.30pm in the Village Hall. We do not meet in January, July or August.
Our 2017 summer exhibition is Stoneleigh Church, Centuries of Change and Renewal, a history of our 900 year old church
The exhibition will be in place in the Leigh chapel throughout summer 2017
The society now has its own website: www.stoneleighhistorysociety.org.uk
